Patron Saint of the
village of La Herradura
This is a week-long fiesta and a fair visits the town of La Herradura and a marquee is set up in the main plaza with a programme of events and dancing until the early hours.

April
Semana Santa. Holy week with its religious processions and chants.

May
Santa Cruz. The crosses of May are decorated and exhibited around the old part of the village and the local people dance and set up small bars in the pebbled pedestrian streets.

June
June 23rd.-24th San Juan (St John)
Big bonfires and camping are permitted on the beaches just this one night of the year.

July
Celebrations for the Virgin Carmen & Almuñecar Jazz Festival.

August
Celebrations for the Virgin Assumption Maria and its nighttime maritime procession & fireworks. This also the time of the famous Malaga fiestas.
