Payments |
| Most larger
food and clothing stores accept credit cards.
When making credit card payments you will
also be required to present your passport
or driving licence as a further proof of
ID or your payment will not be accepted.
For other daily shopping it is best to plan
payment by cash. |
Banks |
| There are
five banks in La Herradura, three of which
are situated on the beach front. All have
cashpoint machines (most of which are multilanguage)
that accept all the usual cards. The banks
can provide foreign exchange and transfer
services as a normal bank. When visiting
a bank to exchange money, please remember
to take your passport with you. |
Post Office |
| La Herradura's postal services
are limited to a small sub-office at the
end of the municipal market. |
Chemists |
| There are 3 pharmacies in
La Herradura. There is always a duty chemist
available 24hrs for emergency prescriptions.
The one on current duty for the week is
indicated by the entrances to all the other
pharmacies. Chemists are marked by a green
cross on a white background. |
International Newspapers |
| There is one shop in the
village selling international newspapers
and magazines. You will find it on the beachfront
next to Isla de Capri coffee shop. |
Petrol Station |
| The only petrol station in
the area is situated on the N340 (just as
you exit La Herradura driving in the direction
of Almunecar. This is open 24 hours daily. |
